"Using images cut from magazines and books, I make collages that explore the complex and contradictory relationships between the human body, our physical and cultural environments, and to our desire for myth and mystery. Hands, hair and other body parts are cut out and combined with other images into dynamic and evocative compositions. By altering these commonplace images, I playfully subvert their meaning, taking control of the narrative and transforming them into expressions that exist in the liminal space between the real and imagined, the mass-produced and the intangible, and the commercial and the sacred."
