Artwork title: “Kok’y the Cosmic Bee”

Medium: Paint pen and colored pencil on paper

Dimensions: 8 x 6

Each artwork is accompanied by its own narrative  //  "Carrying holy pollen, which she will take home to her hive, Kok’y is a goddess of harvest, fertility and riches. She embodies the seven directions, the first six corresponding to the sides of the hexagon, the seventh being the bee herself. The bee people of the lands of Mirico, known as the DiGiri, are among the most ancient and sophisticated, having taught Man mathematics, architectural form and agriculture. The cities of gold in human lore are usually a misnomer, since all of them refer to cultures established by the bees. The ‘gold’ in these cities was honey, not precious metal. "
