Each artwork is accompanied by its own narrative  //  "These enormous beetles are reliable and amicable transport through the marshes, peat bogs and shallows. At almost three meters in length when mature, the Boatmen are sturdy and skilled navigators, and are often the first to sniff out the carnivorous bogmaw lurking in the muddied depths. Often grazing in herds among the cattails, they are nicknamed ‘the cow beetles’."
